Donations
The Society for the Mount Isa Memorial Garden Settlement for the Aged Inc. is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Public Benevolent Institution making all donations over $2.00 Tax Deductable.
Donations can be made in person through the main office of the Society at the Laura Johnson Home at 41 Clarke Street, Mount Isa or by mail to PO Box 958 Mount Isa Queensland 4825.
All donors will receive an official receipt from the Society. Payroll deduction donations can be arranged with the Society.
Volunteering
The Laura Johnson Aged Care Home welcomes Volunteers from the community.
The Homes’ residents benefit greatly from the involvement of volunteers who assist in providing a wide range of activities which can be from sitting and talking, reading to our residents, group activities such as Bingo, Sing-along, Church services to name but a few.
All Volunteers working with our residents on a continual basis must have a current police check.
